This is a story of things that are meant to be…I came home from running some errands one day and Nicki (my partner in crime *smile*) said she had a message for me from a lady that got our number from the logo on the back of my car. Apparently Callie had seen my car one day, then came across my logo again on the PlacerParent.com website and lastly saw my car a second time that morning while I was out and about. When I returned Callie’s phone call, she said it was totally a sign that she needed to call and schedule with me since she’d seen my name/logo so many times!
Callie’s daughter, Chloe, is turning two at the end of April, so for her 2 year portraits, she had an idea of dressing Chloe in a tutu and some fairy wings and to photograph her inside Fairytale Town in Sacramento. We’ve been wanting to take Jaxon there, but hadn’t had the opportunity yet, so I wasn’t sure exactly what it looked like inside, but was totally up for something new! So, we started their Session out at William Land Park for some family photos, then headed in to Fairytale Town…
Loved shooting there! It wasn’t really about all the actual fairy tale decorations, it was more about (for me as a photographer) the colors, the textures and the little niches, corners, walkways and trees that were fabulous to use as a backdrop for a photo. I will definitely suggest it as an option for future little boys and girls that I photograph, just for something different.
You might be wondering what it looked like inside Fairytale Town, but I’m sure some of the photos you’ll see below won’t really even look like Fairytale Town. We didn’t use it for the fairytales necessarily, we used it for a lot of the pieces that us photographers see in a completely different light, for photographing! Oh and BTW, I totally believe in signs, myself and I’m glad Callie decided to call because I really enjoyed working with such a sweet family!
Njoy some of my favs of this super cutie pie, Chloe and her Mommy & Daddy!
