Hey there, Class of 2026 Families!

As a mom of a soon-to-be-senior, I understand the whirlwind of tasks this final year will bring – one of which is to schedule your child’s senior yearbook photo.  While the yearbook photo documents their achievement, it can feel rushed & impersonal.  Photographing your senior in a relaxed environment allows opportunity to highlight their personality, accomplishments and their adventure ahead, preserving this once-in-a-lifetime milestone in a meaningful way!

I’d love to offer you not just my photography services, but also guidance and support – helping with your seasonal booking options, how they vary, what to wear and other helpful tips to ensure your senior’s portrait experience is smooth and enjoyable.

To keep things simple, I’ve created a senior portrait special that’s full of value and competitively priced.  Planning ahead is key, so let’s start by discussing your seasonal booking options!

When to book senior portraits…

Fall senior sessions are perfect for those who want to highlight their achievements, sports, or hobbies while enjoying the beautiful autumn colors—and it’s an added bonus that you’ll get to check something off the to-do list early in the year!

Seniors who book a fall session typically aren’t focused on including college gear in their portraits, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get creative about the future. We can incorporate fun, symbolic props like college applications, suitcases, or party hats—the possibilities are endless and tailored to your senior’s journey.

One consideration with fall sessions is that cap and gown sets often aren’t available yet. If including those is important to you, a spring session may be a better fit. That said, some schools have early order windows, with initial deliveries arriving in late fall. If that’s the case, we can plan your session accordingly.

And if cap and gown delivery isn’t possible by your fall session, I have you covered! Seniors who book my senior portrait special (see details below) in the fall are eligible for an optional “Grad Gear Mini Session” in the spring for just $149. You’ll find more details toward the bottom of this page.

Spring senior sessions are the perfect way to capture your child’s final chapter before graduation—highlighting how much they’ve grown, their current interests, high school accomplishments and even a glimpse of their future with college gear. Receiving your senior’s cap and gown in spring is an added bonus, allowing us to incorporate it into their session and capture that iconic milestone moment.

One thing to keep in mind: spring may come with timing challenges. Many seniors don’t finalize college decisions until early April, as they await acceptance letters. That’s why shooting in March gives you the best of both worlds—plenty of time to receive your photos and prepare prints, enlargements, and announcements before end-of-year events. April sessions are doable, but they often mean tighter deadlines, especially for grad announcements. Even if college decisions aren’t final yet, we can still include school spirit! Just bring a little something from the top 2–3 colleges they’re considering, and we’ll be ready no matter where they land.

To keep the process smooth, I recommend researching a few graduation announcement designs you like ahead of time, and making a simple checklist of any prints or photo products you’ll want. That way, when your gallery is ready, you can order everything you need without stress.
