I was asked to photograph St. Johns Annual Luau Auction Fund Raiser this year. I’ve never been before, so I was new to the School and Event, but have heard amazing things about St. Johns thru my friend.
They did a fabulous job on the Event! Each of the classrooms created a themed Gift for the Auction and there were so many unique items! A couple that stood out to me were the items that were handmade: a really neat personalized surf board that all the kids painted on, a beautiful memory quilt from another classroom where there was a picture of each of the kids printed on it and also a toy chest where each child had a different colored hand print as their signature. There were tons of great baskets with anything and everything you could think of in them, all individually themed and assembled in a fun way. It was great!
But the Auction was only part of the Event…for entertainment, they had 4 Hula Ladies there, to not only dance several Hawiian Dances, but also to teach a select group of the audience how to dance! And the food was AWESOME! Glad I had a chance to help out with pictures of the Event, I had a great time! Here are some of my favs from the Luau, Njoy!
