Old MacDonald was huge when I was a kid. It was one of the first songs I probably learned and was commonly heard as a children’s song everywhere….at least from my memory. But today, there are so many new songs that are catchy, some I grew to know when my son was a baby and some that I’ve never known before. One thing is for sure though, Old MacDonald is a classic and will never go away! Nico’s favorite book/song is Old MacDonald and his first word was “Duck”, so mom asked if we could do something that involved that as a theme. I suggested he wear overalls and to bring his Old MacDonald book and a couple farm type stuffed animals, if she had them. I brought a straw type hat for Nico to wear, as well. This theme came out adorably, but we couldn’t have done it without Nico’s adorable little face =)
At the end of Nico’s 1 year session, we tried to do a cake smash….which as of late, all the kids I’ve done this with, aren’t super into getting dirty in the cake, LOL…same went for Nico! So mom and dad had to help him out by adding a little frosting to his nose. He was a semi uncertain of what was going on, but once dad was able to get his attention with what we considered to be “dads workout for the evening”…running to/from Nico, pretending as if he was going to tickle him, haha, we got Nico’s attention, cake face and all! I love all Nico’s facial expressions, I know you’ll Njoy too!
