Keepin’ it in the family….so I photographed Joey’s sister, Courtney’s wedding in 2009. When Courtney’s mom found me thru a wedding website, she called me and I was sicker than sick, lost my voice, head congestion, the whole shebang. I thought for sure I wouldn’t hear back from her because I could barely talk on the phone, haha! But I recovered from being sick, met with Courtney and her mom, Sherry and we completely hit it off! From that day forward was a not just another fabulous client to work with and photograph for, but a friendship. Courtney’s family has done some backyard renovating for us in the past, Courtney is my hair dresser and I’ve photographed all the major life events in her family for the past 5 years…engagement, wedding, her first baby and soon I’ll be photographing her twins….!!!
So then a few months back, Sherry calls and says she needs my services…her SON is now engaged! What I love about this is that I feel like part of the family when I have an opportunity to capture multiple amazing moments in one families life…not just for one person, but several and THAT is how you keep it in the family =) It’s an honor to be that special photographer for the Moores <3
It’s 2014 and Joey and Denae are gettin’ hitched! I can’t wait for their big day to be here. We started off with booking their engagement session up at Bridegport in Penn Valley and carpooled together, so we could have wedding chat =) These guys are going to have such a beautiful day come October 4th…so many fabulous plans coming thru, ideas, decor…they wanted a “barn wedding” but couldn’t find the perfect location for it…this is what I call LOVE…Joey’s dad decided “I’m just gonna build a barn!” and that is exactly what he did, on their property in Lincoln. I can’t wait for this sweet and fun couples wedding this fall!
I hadn’t photographed an engagement session in about a year, crazy as that sounds, haha, but my world is 95% consistent of newborns and babies these days, which I love to pieces, but it was a blast to have a change in pace and work with “a couple” again <3 We couldn’t have had a more gorgeous day for their session and they stuck it out with me at their 2+ hour shoot, while the ideas kept flowing thru my brain, LOL!
