It was 110% worth the 4 hour drive to/from Lovelock, NV to finally meet, photograph and work with Lola & Jayce at this beautiful location, Rye Patch Reservoir, on their wedding day! Not only was it an amazing wedding, but I met some of the nicest, most fun people and in the process, I’ve gained several new friends from this whole experience. Everything happens for a reason <3 Thank you Cheri Settelmeyer for referring me to Natalia! Thank you Natalia for referring Lola! Thank you Lola AND Natalia (who’s wedding I photographed as well, a couple weeks ago!) for the opportunity to get to know you both, to get to know your families and friends and for allowing me to be a part of your special days! I’m super looking forward to keeping in touch and getting together with you ladies and our fams in the future, hugs to you both!
Now….on to Jayce & Lola’s Wedding…*sigh*….look at the first picture….need I say more? Just a stunning bride and groom, an absolutely beautiful day, a fabulous location, gorgeous sunset, incredibly fun group of family & friends. I mean really, need I say more? LOL!
There’s always a fun or quirky little story to tell though. So I consider this a fun fact! I literally, not once, met with, in person, Lola or Jayce, before their Wedding Day. This is not typical, but with our 4 our distance from each other, that made it not quite so convenient to meet up for a consultation before hand, haha. And Natalia, whom referred Lola (her now, sister in law)…well, I had never met her in person either, ha! But I’ll tell you this. The very first time I did say hi to both of them in person, which was the day of Lola & Jayce’s Wedding, it was like we were long time friends or even family. Hugs were exchanged as if we hadn’t seen each other in years, lol!
I’m a “connection” type of person. I like to connect with my clients on a very personal level because I feel that is how I will be able to show THEIR personality through my imagery. Without ever photographing for them in the past or even meeting them in person prior to their wedding day, I felt so at ease working with them. The “connection” was just there and I loved documenting every minute of July 12, 2014 <3
