Well this was a first for me and it was so fun to direct from 3000 miles away! This is my neighbors sister, and her family, who live in New York City. We’re on completely opposite sides of the country…yes we are! My neighbor went out to visit her brand new little niece, Charlotte and became my photographer via a virtual session thru FaceTime.
This session was shot with an iPhone – these phones are crazy good! A few days ahead of the session, I walked thru some details with posing and wrapping baby, as well as how to shoot and angles, lighting etc, with my neighbor, over a FaceTime call. They walked me thru the home where photos would be taken and I provided my feedback based on lighting and where I thought the best spots would be, and wa-la, we created a virtual newborn session – with 3000 miles in between us!
Christina and her family were so patient and so amazing for this session! And Cheryl (my neighbor) was a superhero to do a newborn session all on her own, just with my guidance thru the Facetime call. Newborn sessions take a lot of time and patience and she rocked it!
Once the photos were captured, they sent them to me, I did some editing and color correcting and few retouches….these are just a few of my faves! I have to thank them all for allowing me and trusting in me with this unique opportunity and challenge. I loved it!
