Not often do I get to work with families that have older children (teens and up). If you’ve sifted thru my blog, you’ll see I shoot a lot of newborns, toddlers, young kids and families with littles, which I absolutely love, love, love because I love documenting their milestones at the younger stages, but it’s also a lot of fun to document a family with grown kiddos.
I can’t explain it, but there’s a unique and fun, loving sense that comes along with the personalities and relationships between parents and grown kids…there’s also inside jokes, laughter and well, the older kids give me a tad break from having to jump around like a monkey to get them to smile, LOL. But I love my monkey business, don’t get me wrong!
This gorgeous family was a blast to work with and so down to earth! Their oldest daughter was getting ready to graduate high school and move on to her next chapter, so we made it a combo family/graduation portrait session. I won’t see them as often as I might a family with younger kids, but I am definitely looking forward to photographing for them again in the not so distant future, when daughter #2 graduates high school and needs grad photos! Loved meeting and working with you guys!!!!
