Oh sweet Monica….I met this adorable mom at the Sacramento Parent Magazines Babies and Bumps Event back in April. My hope is to find a few moms (& dads) that I can connect with, from this event. It is obviously an avenue of marketing for me, to get my business and name out there in front of as many families as I can, but I’m not looking to capture some ungodly amount of business from this event….no, what I’m looking for, is just a connection. A connection that I can make with a handful of people. To meet some moms (& dads) that feel as passionate about photography as I do and that have an appreciation for documenting milestones <3
Monica was one of those people. She is just the sweetest most friendly momma, super adorable and just down to earth and REAL! I love REAL! I heard her story….she’s married with a step daughter and daughter, with a baby on the way….unsure if it’s a boy or girl, they were going for the surprise factor! She was supposed to have maternity photos done with her first little girl, Cedar, but things fell thru at the last minute and she never had the opportunity. I wasn’t going to let possibly this last chance for her, at having maternity photos pass by, so I offered her a mini maternity session =) It was less than two weeks later we were documenting this milestone for her and just shortly after that, her sweet Willow arrived…yes, it was another girl <3
Monica and I had such a great time chatting, getting to know each other more and I loved photographing her happy, sweet and smiley personality! THIS is the reason I love my job <3
