And my final Empire Mines-Grass Valley portrait session was……The Kacalek Family! So of course it’s challenging to coordinate, pose, setup, distract little ones and also photograph all at the same time. When there are 2 adults and 5 children…yes, that is always more challenging. But do I love the challenge? OF COURSE I DO! Especially with a gorgeous and down to earth family like these guys =) I’m not going to claim my job is “easy”. But is it fun? Regardless, YES! And I love photographing for the energetic, beautiful, funny, silly, smiley, Kacaleks <3
Caitlin, their youngest, is 19 months old. Then they have Cayden, Colton & Colby (twins) and Macray (the oldest). You can only imagine me fumbling over their names, haha, as I try to work quickly and efficiently…and I hate to say it, but I STILL mix up the twins names. Not sure why I can’t get them right…one day I will, LOL!
We worked long and hard for the family portraits you see in this blog post and I was excited to see so many great ones, where no head swapping was needed, haha! Anytime you have several people in a picture, regardless of adult vs child, it’s a common thing to have to head swap because people blink at different times, etc. But truly, no head swapping action this time, woohoo! Enjoy this beautiful family of seven =)
