Where do I start…
During our Bellies and Babies Contest, Katy & Mike were referred to us for their Belly Pics, so we had them scheduled for a Wednesday evening. They were ONE of our only two Belly Spots for the Contest and I was super excited to work with them! Well, their Portrait day arrived and I, unfortunately, had come down with a flu bug =( So, I had to contact Katy and see if we could push out her Session to the following Wednesday…still 6 weeks before her due date…we’d be FINE!!
Um, no. Katy ended up going to the hospital just a couple days after we rescheduled and gave birth to beautiful little Brielle 6+ weeks early. You can only imagine how BADLY I felt having to reschedule her Belly Session! It was just one of those completely ‘out of all of our control’ situations.
About 6 weeks after Brielle was born, Mike, Katy and Brielle came into the Studio for their Newborn Session…Brielle might not have been curled up in a little ball in her mommy’s tummy for this Session, but even better, I was able to photograph her beautiful little face. I think she made up for deciding to come early because we got at least 3 smiles out of her during her Session! In addition to that, it was the fastest Newborn Session I’ve done in a long while AND she worked with me on one of the hardest poses, which normally takes 20+ minutes to achieve…she had it down in about 2 minutes!
