Just in time…
I met Gabe & Alena at the Sacramento Parent Magazines Babies and Bumps Event in mid April. They won a maternity session from our event giveaway and since Alena was due to have her baby girl just a week later, we scheduled her session right away. On the Wednesday evening after the event, we met up in Half Moon Bay for a gorgeous beach session. It was a bit chilly out, but absolutely beautiful and super clear. You just never know what you’ll get at the beach!
Alena had started having contractions earlier that day, but said they weren’t too bad, so they decided to drive out. They researched hospitals in the area, just in case. I was a little nervous for her, I’m not gonna lie…so I continued to ask her throughout the session if she was feeling okay or if she needed to take a break. Alena was such a trooper in the cold and with having contractions here and there, but she was calm and so excited for the photos, so we continued through the session. So much fun!
Well, lets just say, not only did we meet in the knick of time at the event, but we met up at the beach in the knick of time too because the very next day Alena went into labor and baby girl Ivy was born just over 24 hours later!
I loved being pregnant with my son and so glad we had some maternity photos taken. That memory will not only always live on forever in my mind, but with the photos, I can actually look back on that time as well and I can share that time with Jaxon <3 I’m so glad Gabe & Alena had the opportunity to have these photos taken before Ivy arrived!!!
Love, love, love when the wind blows just right and it catches her hair and her shawl…so gorgeous!
