Krystl had been chatting with me a couple years prior, about one of their future sessions being photographed at the beach in Tahoe. Sand Harbor is a beautiful location to take a stroll, play in the water and have family picnics…in addition to being a stunning location for portraits!
The water in Tahoe the past couple years has been really high, which in turn means we lose more sandy areas, which in turn means people are packed like sardines at the beach! I knew we might have to do a little searching to find just the right spot to capture the water, some boulders and the beach and to my surprise, we found the spot fairly fast! Whats great about Sand Harbor though, not just the beach, but the trails in the area are very pretty and I love seeing all the Tahoe trees and woodsy Tahoe vibe surrounding, so you kind of get the best of two worlds….Tahoe Mountain vibes and Tahoe Beach vibes. Gotta love it!
