Kirsten was referred by a friend of mine, Laura. Small world that it is….Kirsten went to school with Laura and we are all from the East Bay, but now live up in the Sacramento area.
Kirsten and Dave welcomed their first baby girl together, third child as a combined family, to their world. This gorgeous baby girl was born 4+ months early and gave her mommy and daddy a big scare. Pregnancy complications send us parents into survival mode and so many emotions run thru us. I didn’t have the same experience as Kirsten and Dave, however, I did have a complication with my second pregnancy which ended with me being on bed rest for 3 weeks and having to deliver via c-section at 36 weeks, so I know scary. I couldn’t even imagine though, how Kirsten and Dave felt, when they ended up in the hospital and delivering their little miracle so early.
With the love, support, encouragement and strength they have, themselves and from family and friends, little Audrey was a trooper and pushed thru the medical chaos! She is healthy and happy…a twinkling little star that their family has been so blessed to call their own.
It was so much fun to capture these newborn portraits in a Lifestyle Session, in the comfort of their home! I used to offer Lifestyle Newborn Sessions years ago, but had transitioned to Studio Newborn for the past 8 years. I loved being able to juice up my creativity in a new setting, utilizing all their beautiful home has to offer for their families first portraits, as a family of 5 <3
So looking forward to many years of documenting the Spradlin family milestones ahead!!!
