Turning 5 years old is quite a big deal. It is half a decade. It means you’re a big kid now. It means baby teeth will soon start to fall out. It means…..Kindergarten is right around the corner!!!!
Kindergarten is huge for any parent. They are losing their baby to the next 13 years of school and it all starts with Kinder, but they are gaining the amazing journey their child is about to embark on, which will help mold them into who they will be as an adult.
Even though, in a lot of cases it’s a short school day, Kinder is typically 5 days a week. To think that your baby will begin truly growing and learning so much in Kinder and be out of your hands every day …. to say they are “in school” …. it’s a tear jerker for sure. But I think I cried more on the last day of Kinder than I did on the first day, with my son, because I could see how much he’d changed and how much he’d grown in those 9+ short months of Kinder. They will always be “our baby”….but they aren’t “A” baby anymore <3
I’ve known Addison for 3 years now and have seen her grow from a little 2 year old to a big 5 year old Kindergartener. She was just a little blonde haired, blue eyed toddler at the beginning and now she’s a beautiful little girl….still bubbly and ever so smiley…but now with that little girl spunk and goofiness, she’s sure to put a smile on anyones face she’s around. Addison is always happy and I love talking with her cause she’s just too cute!
To document her 5 year milestone, her mommy wanted to do a unique, Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed session. This was so much fun to collaborate on and put together and Addison rocked the outfit, rocked the theme and rocked the photo shoot with her smiles and sass =)
